DTSP-7694: Internal Server Error (ISE) when attempting to use the Look-Up buttons in Update Personal Profile

Please be aware that there is a system issue, identified as DTSP-7694, that is affecting any traveler attempting to update their own profile in the Update Personal Profile section of DTS. Users receive an Internal Server Error (ISE) when attempting to use the Look-Up menus.

Defense Travel Administrators have two options for a workaround:

1. Update the traveler’s profile through the DTA Maintenance Tool > People section. Changes made to the profile under the DTA Maintenance Tool will not affect any existing documents that the traveler currently has routing for Approval.

2. The information can be updated through the traveler’s document under Additional Options > My Profile. The check box for “Save changes to permanent traveler information” should be checked to ensure that changes made in the traveler’s profile remain permanent.

If you have recently received an Internal Server Error (ISE) when attempting to update your profile yourself, you’re not alone. There is a system issue that is affecting anyone who attempts to update their own profile through the Traveler Setup > Update Personal Profile section. Using the Look-Up buttons will result in an ISE that will prevent you from saving your changes.

As a traveler, you have two options for a workaround:

1. Contact your Defense Travel Administrator (DTA) to make changes to your profile through the Administrative section of DTS. OR

2. Update your profile using an existing DTS document. Your profile information can be found under Additional Options > My Profile. In each section that you are updating, ensure you check the box at the bottom to “Save changes to permanent traveler information” so that you will not have to perform the action again.

*Please Note: any changes made to your profile through the Administrative section of DTS will not affect any existing documents that you have. If you are attempting to make changes to your profile and you have an existing document, we recommend option #2.*
