Recruit Travel Assistance

The Defense Travel Management Office’s Recruit Travel Assistance Program provides travel support to military recruits traveling from Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) or their hometowns to their initial basic training centers. The Recruit Travel Assistance Center helps recruits during each step of their trip, which may include arranging meals or lodging for stranded recruits, and assisting with forward movement when flights or ground transportation cancel or delay.
