Important Change: Update on SmartPay 3 Travel Card Transition

A recent change to the SmartPay 3 master contract means that DoD will NOT be required to reissue new accounts/new cards to current SmartPay 2 cardholders.

Earlier this year, GSA announced the award of the DoD Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) SmartPay 3® task order once again to Citi. Since the announcement, GSA modified the task order to no longer require new cards/account be issued to current DoD cardholders. Both IBA and CBA cardholders will continue to use their current SmartPay 2 card until the expiration date on the card. After that time, Citi will issue a new blue SmartPay 3 card to replace the current silver version. The account/card number will remain the same, but the expiration date will change. All new cards issued after November 30 will be the blue SmartPay 3 card design.

For more information, visit the Agency Program Coordinator or Cardholder SmartPay 3 webpage.
