Reminder: DTS Continuity of Operations Exercise Starts 2/18
The Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requires that Federal agency information security programs provide plans and procedures for the continuity of operations (COOP) for agency information systems. To meet this requirement, DTS Program Management Office will conduct a DTS COOP system exercise the week of 18- 25 February 2017.
During the exercise, EWTS and DTS will have downtime at the beginning and end of the exercise.
- DTS: On Saturday, February 18, 2017, DTS will be unavailable 12 hours beginning at 0800 EST and again on Saturday, February 25, 2017 for 2-24 hours beginning at 0800 EST. Prior to the start of system downtime, the DTS Status icon will turn yellow.
- EWTS: 12 hours beginning at 0800 EST on Saturday, February 18, 2017 and 2-24 hours beginning at 0800 EST on Saturday, February 25, 2017.
While there should be no difference in system functionality, users are encouraged to book trips and settle vouchers in advance of the COOP exercise when possible. After the exercise is complete, users should verify any actions completed (reservations) during the exercise and Defense Travel Administrators should verify any updates made to the Maintenance Tool. We also recommend scheduling training using EWTS around the week-long exercise.
Users should monitor the system status icon on the DTS Welcome Page for any system updates.
