Governance Boards Login
Two Governance Boards manage changes to the Department's commercial travel requirements. Requirements are defined, but not limited to: systems, software, policies, and/or procedures.
- The Defense Travel Improvement Board (DTIB) is composed of O6 level/equivalent Government representatives from each branch of service and DoD Agencies. The DTIB is the sole authority for managing changes to commercial travel requirements that are under the purview of the DTMO. Limitations of the DTIB are enterprise wide applications, or applications exceeding a cost of $500K.
- The Defense Travel Steering Committee (DTSC) is composed of O8 level/equivalent Government representatives from each branch of service and DoD Agencies. The DTSC manages changes to commercial travel requirements that are elevated by the DTIB, such as enterprise wide applications, or applications exceeding a cost of $500K. The DTSC is also the governing body that resolves DTIB-generated appeals.
